Upon graduating from the PGM program, Kayla's career took her to Medinah Country Club, which opened the door to travel abroad to Royal Wellington Golf Club in New Zealand. After spending time abroad, she returned to her roots at Teton Pines Country Club in Wyoming. Kayla's first full-time teaching position was at Lansdowne Resort. This experience not only allowed her to refine her coaching philosophy but also laid the foundation for her subsequent role at International Country Club as Assistant Golf Professional, where her primary responsibilities were in Junior Golf. Kayla played a significant role in nearly tripling the junior golf programming at the club, introducing a program where juniors as young as 3 could begin to learn golf. Currently, as a Teaching Professional at Silverado Resort since the spring of 2022, Kayla brings a wealth of experience and a unique coaching philosophy to the golf enthusiasts she guides. Walter believes that sinc every player is unique and no two golf swings are the same, she provides players with helpful tools and instruction specific to them, best explaining and demonstrating complex concepts in a simple, practical manner. She empowers her players with the knowledge to correct their golf shots rather than allowing them to feel helpless, not knowing how to improve. Throughout her career, Kayla has been an active member of the PGA and LPGA T&CP, leveraging the networking opportunities and resources these memberships provide. Her dedication to the sport and continuous pursuit of excellence have not only shaped her coaching philosophy but have also earned her respect in an industry where she stands as a minority. As she continues to share her passion for golf, Kayla Walter remains committed to making a lasting impact on the game and the individuals she coaches.”
